Knights Drop Home Contest Versus SCAD-Savannah

LAURINBURG, N.C. - The St. Andrews women's lacrosse team fell 16-9 to No. 7 SCAD-Savannah at the Knights Stadium. The loss gives the Knights a 2-5 record on the season with a 1-1 mark in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

The Bees controlled the possession throughout much of the game, finishing with 31 ground balls compared to 19 from St. Andrews. Despite committing 26 turnovers, the Knights secured 16 draw controls and finished with five free position shots.

Asiah Dewberry (JR/Avon Park, FL) and Skii Bollinger (SR/Wilmington, NC) led the Knights with three goals apiece. Dewberry added six draw controls and three ground balls, while Bollinger scooped up four groundballs and forced one turnover.

Alia Loydd (JR/Lake Wales, FL), Kennedy Martin (SO/Wilmington, NC), and Lexi Sardinas (FR/Cary, N.C.) each registered a goal for St. Andrews.

Marlen Bravo (JR/North Myrtle Beach, SC) finished with seven saves in 53 minutes of action in between the pipes.

The Knights will now travel to Point on Saturday, Mar. 19, for a 12:00 pm AAC contest.
