Women's Lacrosse Dominate Skyhawks in 16-6 Victory

WEST POINT, Ga. - The St. Andrews women's lacrosse team earned their second Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) win of the season with a 16-6 victory over Point University on Monday. The win gives the Knights a 3-5 record overall and a 2-1 record in conference play.

St. Andrews scored five unanswered goals in the first period and six more goals at the end of the second quarter. Skii Bollinger (SR/Wilmington, NC) scored three first-half goals, while Lexi Sardinas (FR/Cary, N.C.) and Asiah Dewberry (JR/Avon Park, FL) put in two goals apiece in the first 30 minutes. The Knights held an 11-1 lead at the halftime break.

After the break, Kennedy Martin (SO/Wilmington, NC) scored the Knights first goal in the 10th minute and later assisted Brenna Budd (FR/Conshohocken, PA) to score her first collegiate goal. Lexi Sardinas secured a hat trick with a goal at the 7:57 mark of the third period.

Point added four goals in the final period but it was not enough to cut the deficit.
