Bravo Named AAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Marlen Bravo (JR/North Myrtle Beach, SC) was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Apr. 11 as she was an anchor in goal for the Knights women's lacrosse team that went 2-0 last week.
In the 18-15 victory at Truett-McConnell, Bravo picked up 10 saves on 25 shots. Bravo finished with a 40% save percentage and also held the Bears to four goals in the second and third periods of the game.
Against Tennessee Wesleyan, Bravo helped propel the Knights to a 15-7 victory. Bravo matched her season high 14 saves in the win against the Bulldogs and also picked up six ground balls in goal.
Bravo earned her first Player of the Week award this season and in her career.
