Five Knights Featured On AAC All-Conference Team

WALESKA, Ga. - St. Andrews women's lacrosse placed five players on the Appalachian Athletic Conference 2022 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team announced by the league office on Thursday.

Skii Bollinger (SR/Wilmington, NC) and Asiah Dewberry (JR/Avon Park, FL) were listed as First Team All-Conference, while Alia Loydd (JR/Lake Wales, FL), Lexi Sardinas (FR/Cary, N.C.), and Brenna Budd each were recognized on the Second Team as selected by the AAC conference coaches.

Bollinger has had a great senior campaign thus far. Bollinger has appeared and started in 14 games for the Knights. On the season she has tallied 44 goals, 11 assists, 61 ground balls, and leads the conference with 89 draw controls. Bollinger set a career high of nine goals in the 21-18 victory over Montreat earlier this season.

Dewberry also provided veteran leadership to the St. Andrews women's lacrosse squad. In 14 starts, Dewberry has accounted for 25 goals, 7 assists, and 48 shots. The defensive specialist has scooped up 67 ground balls and has caused 38 turnovers. Dewberry set a season high five goals in the opening round of the 2022 AAC Championships on Thursday, April 14.

Loydd has been a marksman all season holding an 82.1 shot on goal percentage. The junior attacker has put in 27 goals, assisted 12 times, and secured 30 ground balls.

Joining Loydd on the second team was Sardinas who has had one of the best freshmen seasons in Knights lacrosse program history. In her first game of the season with the Knights, Sardinas exploded for five goals against Methodist and later set a career-high seven goals in a 24-4 victory over AAC opponent Brenau. Sardinas has tallied 34 goals and six assists on the season.

Budd was also featured on the Second Team as a freshman defender. In 14 games played Budd has secured 29 ground balls and has caused 18 turnovers. Budd scored her first career goal in a 16-6 victory at Point.
