St. Andrews names Craig "CJ" Lowery as new Women's Lacrosse Head Coach

Laurinburg, N.C. - The St. Andrews Knights have named Craig "CJ" Lowery as the new women's lacrosse head coach.

The Ypsilanti, MI native brings both high school and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) coaching experience to his new position. On the men's side, he was the assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Caledonia High School for the 2020 season, then served as the men's head coach at Cleary University from May 2021-April 2022.

On the women's side, he was the Missouri Valley College head coach from April 2022-May 2023, before going to Ursuline College from Sept. 2023 until his acceptance of the job at St. Andrews. He has also been a coaching consultant with the Cyclones Girls Lacrosse team in Brighton, MI since Sept. 2021.

Lowery received his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Criminal Profiling in 2019 from the University of Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY.  He is on track to receive his Masters degree in Criminal Justice Administration with an emphasis in Addictions in the Fall 2024, also from the University of Cumberlands.

"I am so privileged to be given the opportunity to not only honor the past of a long-standing tradition of athletics, but to be able to continue to build towards the future," Lowery said. "I am excited to work together with my team to continue to leave a positive impact within our community."

The Knights are looking to rebuild their program after a challenging 2024 season where they finished 1-11, 0-6, overall.
