Athlete of the Week: Mateu Escamilla

Mateu Escamilla has earned this week’s Male Athlete of the Week honors for his standout performances in the Knights’ men’s basketball matchups against Columbia College and Reinhardt University.

Escamilla spearheaded the Knights' offense, averaging an impressive 31.0 points per game along with 8 rebounds across both matchups. Against Columbia College, he delivered a remarkable double-double, scoring 24 points and dominating the boards. He followed that with a stellar performance against Reinhardt University, leading the team with 38 points.

For his outstanding contributions, Escamilla was also recognized as the WinWon Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
