Knights Secure Game 3 Win on Senior Day Celebration
The Knights faced off against Tennessee Wesleyan in a high-scoring doubleheader on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately for the Knights, they were unable to secure a win, falling 18-8 in Game 1 and 16-0 in Game 2. Despite some impressive offensive efforts and standout individual performances, the Knights couldn't keep up with Tennessee Wesleyan's late-game surge. The Bulldogs scored 9 runs in the final two innings of Game 1, sealing their victory.
In Game 3, the Knights mounted a strong comeback to earn a 6-5 win. After trailing going into the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Knights gained momentum when senior Garrett Wolff blasted a home run. The team took the lead in the 8th inning, with Garrett Hamby driving in 1 RBI and Caesar Morillo adding 2 RBIs. In a tense extra inning, Morillo's double to center field brought in the winning run, securing a thrilling victory for St. Andrews.
The Knights honored their senior class with a heartfelt Senior Day celebration, recognizing the dedication and hard work of 20 athletes from the Class of 2025. The event highlighted the contributions of these seniors, who have been vital to the team's success and growth throughout their college careers.
