St. Andrews Triumphs in Double-Overtime Thriller Against Johnson

St. Andrews (NC) delivered a commanding performance in their 112-102 victory, demonstrating a potent blend of offensive firepower and defensive tenacity. Playing in front of their home crowd, the team showcased a balanced attack that effectively overwhelmed Johnson (TN).

Jaylin McDuffie was the standout performer, leading all scorers with 28 points. He displayed exceptional accuracy from beyond the arc, hitting 7-of-12 three-pointers, while also grabbing 7 rebounds and going a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. Ma'Nas Drummond was a force on both ends of the court, contributing 22 points, pulling down 8 rebounds, and recording 4 steals in a stellar all-around effort. Mateu Escamilla anchored the teams inside presence with a double-double, posting 23 points and 10 rebounds while converting 8 of his 13 free throws. Coming off the bench, Christopher Coleman provided a significant spark, adding 18 points on efficient 6-of-13 shooting and making key plays that sustained the team's momentum throughout the game.

As a team, St. Andrews shot 42% from the field and an impressive 40% from beyond the arc, sinking 12 three-pointers. Their ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities, combined with relentless defensive pressure, proved too much for Johnson (TN) to handle. This win sets a positive tone for the remainder of the season as they continue to build on their success.
