Knights Finish in Second at Koala Classic
Knights traveled to Timberlake GC in Chapin, South Carolina for The Koala Classic golf tournament. The team saw intense competition across two rounds, with the Knights facing a challenging course totaling 6544 yards finishing in 2nd place overall.
Round 1
Matt Lefebvre posted a solid 77 (+6), with a 37 (+2) on the front nine and a 40 (+4) on the back. Joe Stevenson finished with a 76 (+5), after a consistent 38 (+3) on the front and 38 (+2) on the back. Troy Taylor had the best performance of the day, shooting 73 (+2), with a strong 36 (+1) on the front and 37 (+1) on the back. Kai Raymond struggled in the first round, shooting 42 (+7) on the front but bounced back with a 36 (E) on the back for a total of 78 (+7). Caleb Bennett had a tough round, finishing with an 87 (+16) after shooting 44 (+9) on the front and 43 (+7) on the back.
Round 2
The players continued to face a demanding course. Matt Lefebvre shot 78 (+7) overall, with a 38 (+3) on the front and a 40 (+4) on the back. Joe Stevenson struggled slightly more in Round 2, finishing with a 79 (+8), with a 38 (+3) front and 41 (+5) back. Troy Taylor matched his Round 1 performance with a 78 (+7) overall, shooting a 37 (+2) on the front and 41 (+5) on the back. Kai Raymond showed improvement, shaving strokes off his first-round score to post a 75 (+4), after a 40 (+5) on the front and a strong 35 (-1) on the back. Caleb Bennett continued to struggle, finishing with an 82 (+11), posting 41 (+6) on the front and 41 (+5) on the back.
