Knights Men’s Golf Team Secures 2nd Place at 2025 Wildcat Invitational

Results

Marshville, NC – The Knights men's golf team competed in the 2025 Wildcat Invitational, hosted at Eagle Chase GC, a challenging course measuring 6,723 yards with a par of 72. The team posted a total score of +45, securing an impressive 2nd place finish.

Freshman Troy Taylor had a strong showing, carding a 75 (+6) in Round 1 and improving to +3 (75) in Round 2, for a total of +9, which earned him a 4th place finish. Joe Stevenson started with a +7 (78) in Round 1 but bounced back with a solid +1 (73) in Round 2, finishing with a total of +8. Matt Lefebvre struggled early with a +12 (78) in Round 1 but rallied to shoot +6 (78) in Round 2, finishing with a total of +18, both securing a top 10 finish.

Caleb Bennett faced difficulties throughout the tournament, carding a +20 (83) in Round 1 and +9 (81) in Round 2, totaling +29. Owen Talbot faced the toughest conditions, ending in last place with +24 (85) in Round 1 and +11 (83) in Round 2, finishing with a total of +35.
