Canale and Perrotte Seal Opening Day Victory

The Knights secured their first win of the season on Saturday with a hard-fought victory over Regent University. Despite the Royals taking an early lead, the Knights rallied, with Tomas Canale, Lucas Perrotte, and Pedro Salomâo de Almeida leading the charge to turn the game around.

Coach Clark remarked, "It's always nice to win on opening day. It was great to see several freshmen get their first playing time and to witness the team's character and resilience in bouncing back after conceding the first goal. Credit to a much-improved Regent team; we had 20 shots to their 5 but struggled early to convert."

The breakthrough came when a couple of freshmen played a crucial role in equalizing. Florencia’s shot was parried by Regent's goalkeeper, and Pedro Almeida was quick to capitalize on the rebound.

In the second half, the Knights gained better control of the game and sealed the win with two well-executed goals from "Toto" Canale and Lucas Perrotte. Senior goalkeeper Cris Romero, who was only beaten by a deflected cross in the first half, was solid at the back and made a crucial save to secure the victory.

The Knights will hit the road for there second game of the season against Carolina Christian University
